The first half of my life was unconsciously living through episodes, challenges, and of course many special moments, all whilst instinctively adhering to societal, generational and self imposed beliefs and expectations.
There had to be point where things crumbled or I just woke up to this, and it came.
My own experience and awakening to how different life could feel, is what brings me here today - to help you see this next chapter differently, more positively and exciting and actually joyful.
So let's dive into the practices that allowed me to understand and manage my emotional wellbeing, something I had no idea about until my 40's.
Emotions can get a bad rap, but they are how we learn to know who, what and when has an impact on our general state of being. Now my passion is not diving into the psychology, more to help support emotional discomfort with somatic practices I found extremely beneficial in my self discovery journey and personal healing.
Our lives are fuelled by busyness and we spend our days
Focusing on our families.
Managing demanding careers.
Possibly caring for aging parents.
Attempting to stay sociable with friends.
Avoiding or confronting the physical changes
Trying to find time to take care of ourselves.
I found when trying to juggle and manage all of the above it meant putting my needs last and absorbing the emotions I was truly feeling.
When this is combined with trauma I suffered as a child the combination created discomfort in my body and mind and along with therapy for the trauma these practices took me from severe emotional discomfort to a place of peace and calm in my mind and my body - for my body to be resting was a whole new experience to me when I reached my mid forties, and a most memorable transformation.
So many women have crossed my path and shared how aspects of my story resonated with them, which I am so grateful for, maybe you can relate to some of what I share also, which leads me to let you know that you are heard and seen, I have been there, now on the other side, thankfully.
I would love you to take comfort in knowing that you can change any situation you are experiencing and based on my experience having a tool kit to first help calm the nervouse system to create a calm safe starting place, then manage the emotions you may be experiencing, which then allows you to begin to start a journey of re-discovery and to acknowledge and meet your own needs and desires.

EFT/Tapping is an amazing tool which combines ancient Chinese healing methods with modern mindset processes.
EFT is a complementary therapy which helps manage emotional discomfort, and shift negative emotions by tapping on meridian energy points around the body, similar to acupuncture points.
In short, it calms the nervous system, to allow you return to a more calm state.
With more specific methods, retrains the brain to develop more positive empowering beliefs, habits and patterns which can also help increase motivation, confidence and productivity.
